Welcome to The Louisiana District Composite Reports
Since 1990, on an annual basis, the Louisiana Department of Education has published a very detailed district-level report containing detailed data on numerous educational indicators providing a longitudinal view of educational progress for every public school. The report, referred to as the District Composite Report (DCR), was intended to serve as an effective tool to aid policymakers and district administrators in identifying opportunities for school improvement. It featured six years of data for various indicators in tabular form with school, district, and state results. It also included illustrative graphs and charts, as well as explanatory text.
In order to provide such important information to a much wider audience and on a more-timely basis, the Division of Strategic Research and Analysis of the Louisiana Department of Education has created an online version of the DCR. Using a similar structure, the online system displays six years of data at the school, district, and state levels for various educational indicators. This continuously-updated website provides a much-upgraded version of the original DCR with additional charts and graphs. This comprehensive repository provides the most current, available Louisiana education data on schools and districts. The desired data can be viewed and compared online or can be printed in a fully formatted report. Additionally, all or selected data and reports in both Excel and PDF formats can be exported and saved to a computer.
Please send your comments or questions about this website or its contents to the Louisiana Department of Education, Data Quality Director, Kim Nesmith, at Kim.Nesmith@La.Gov.
The system has been updated with all available 2010-11 data as of 5/20/2012. It will be continuously updated as additional, more recent data become available.
