Since 1990, on an annual basis, the Louisiana Department of Education has published a very detailed district-level report containing detailed data on numerous educational indicators providing a longitudinal view of educational progress for every public school. The report, containing six years of data for various indicators and referred to as the District Composite Report (DCR), was intended to serve as an effective tool to aid policymakers and district administrators in identifying opportunities for school improvement.
to provide such important information to a much wider audience and on a more-timely basis, the Division of Strategic Research and Analysis of the Louisiana Department of Education has created an online version of the DCR. This latest 2.0 edition of our software represents a much-upgraded version providing users with advanced capabilities and features to include colorful comparative and longitudinal charts for all indicators, selection and comparison of indicator results among various entities, and the ability to generate customized graphical reports at the school, district, and state levels. As a comprehensive, longitudinal repository, it provides the most current, available Louisiana education data on schools and districts. The desired data can be viewed and compared online or printed as fully formatted PDF reports. Additionally, all or selected data and reports can be exported and saved (in both Excel and PDF formats) to a computer. Please
see What's New in 2.0 for a summary listing of new features and capabilities.
